Surprise visit

So Kevin called and said the girls wanted to visit. So the next day Kara and Allison arrived and spent the week with us. We had a great time visiting and just hanging out.

4th of July

This was the first year in I don't know how many years that we didn't spend the 4th in BVS. Although we missed all of our friends and the activites, we did have fun at home. We were able to do fireworks in our frontyard. Or at least we thought that was ok. You would think with a city policeman (John Donaldson) in charge, we wouldn't be breaking any laws, but...Apparently, we are still needed to be on the otherside of the street behind our houses for it to be legal. It was a lot of fun, but the mess the next morning.....yikes.

Our 18th Wedding Anniversary

Can't believe it has been 18 years, how they have flown by!!! Mike and I got to go out for a really nice dinner, and for the first time in years, we didn't need to hire a babysitter --- Amanda took care of everything for us --- a little scarry, but all went fine and she did a great job!!!

New landscaping

I've been wanting new landscaping for the front of the house since we moved in. For Mother's day, Mike and the kids became my little gardners and helped with the landscaping. It isn't perfect yet, but I think a definite improvement. Thank you!!

VBS 2008

VBS this year was outrigger island. It was a great theme and had awesome music. Hard to believe, but Amanda is now to old so she volunteered as and LIT and enjoyed playing with the toddlers. I had to fun in helping with recreation once again. I LOVE getting to play with all of the kids and my highschool helpers. Somehow, we always end the day being wet??!!

Michael's 6th birthday

For Michael's birthday he wanted a Indiana Jones sleepover. Since mom wasn't in the very creative mood, we bought an Indiana Jones cake, had a couple of friends sleepover and went and saw the movie Kung Fu Panda!!!
