Christmas 2007

Snickers, the lap dog?

Annie singing in the school choir

Annie, who loves to sing, sang with her school choir. They performed at one of the local malls singing Christmas songs.

Amanda plays the clarinet

Amanda decided to try out the clarinet this year. A few of the schools in the area got together and did a performance at the middle school. For having just started at the end of August, they did an awesome job!

The Seversons came for a visit!

I guess not everyone thinks that Texas is on the other side of the earth. Even though it was a short visit, we were so happy to have them visit. The kids played like they had just seen each other and we were all sad to see them leave. Until next time my dear friends!

Kara got to spend Thanksgiving with us!

We got an unexpected call asking if Kara could come for a visit. We were beyond excited to not only have her visit, but visit on Thanksgiving. Her stay flew by, but we all loved having her here and hope that she will visit again soon!

Annie visits Camp Grady Spruce

The fifth grade class got to go to Camp Grady Spruce for the week. Annie got to do things like canoeing, horseback riding, alot of hiking, archery, finding fossils, building caterpolts, and lots more. What a better way to learn science than being thrown into it for a week. She had a great time and made lots of new friends.

Happy Halloween

So this year we had a visit from Elizabeth Swann (note the difference between last years Elizabeth Swann and this years), a glamour diva, Harry Potter and King Peter from Narnia.

Happy 12th birthday Amanda!

Instead of a birthday party, Amanda asked for a digital camera. She loves taking pictures.

Pumpkin patch

Mikey's first field trip was to the pumpkin patch. He loved playing in the hay maze and picking out his very own pumpkin.

Nebbie Williams Walkathon

Nebbie had a walkathon to raise money for the school. It was our big fundraiser of the year. The kids had fun walking, doing jazzercise, and just hanging out (yes Mikey did walk to, I just didn't catch it with the camera --- too much running around trying to get a picture of all four). I will admit, it was a lot of fun.

Let me explain Amanda's boot. Well, I got the worst mom award this year. At the first football game of the year, we were walking from our car and Amanda tripped off of a curb. She immediately popped up, and started walking with a limp and tears in her eyes. We of course were running late, so I asked if she was ok and then rushed her off to the game. After examining the foot, we diagnosed it as a sprain (afterall, she just tripped off of a curb!), iced it, gave her meds and went about things as normal. A couple of days later, we realized that she was still limping really bad and when asked to apply direct pressure, she would almost fall over. The next morning I called her doctor and was referred to an ortho, but they couldn't get us in for two days. So almost a week after the injury, we finally get her in to the doctor to only find out that she had broken her foot. So the Bad Mom award goes to --- Holly Pelletier, thank you, thank you very much. So after 6 weeks in the boot, she was healed, just in time for basketball. At the walkathon she begged me to participate, and being sick with guilt over the whole thing, I let her; unfortunately, she felt it later that night. Just another learning experience for us all.

Matthew's parachute performance

Some of the fourth graders got to do a parachute performance before the high school football game. Matthew had a lot of fun out there on the field. I know he can't wait to be on that field playing football instead of playing with parachutes though.

Scarecrow Day

Instead of dressing up for Halloween, Kindergarten had a scarecrow day. They all looked so cute, especially this little scarecrow!

Texas state fair

Flash forward to a couple of years from now!!!

The kids always enjoy the fair. There is lots of fried food, rides and animals to see. Luckily, this year was a lot cooler than last year. The favorite attraction this year was the auto show. The kids had a lot of fun trying out all the cars. Seeing those girls in the car gave me a scarry glimpse of the future , yikes, it will be here before I know it!

Amanda, Annie and Matthew get baptized!

Cowboys 2007

First day of school

When choosing the song for this video, Amanda suggested that "so you had a bad day" be the song, I out voted her!

Summer camps

Matthew and his friend Bradley spent the week at football camp. Although they were worked hard, they always came home full of energy.

Rachel (Amanda's friend), Amanda and Annie spent the week at basketball camp. They were fortunate to be coached by the #1 girl's state high school basketball team!
